Cal Clear + PayPal: Integration Guide (2026)

April 2026 · 6 min read · By

Collecting payment from your clients at booking time through PayPal isn't available in Cal Clear yet — it's on our roadmap. Cal Clear does use a payment processor (Dodo Payments) for its own $0.99/mo Pro subscription, but it does not yet take client payments at booking via PayPal. Here's the honest status.

Coming soon: PayPal isn't available for pay-at-booking in Cal Clear yet — it's on our roadmap. Cal Clear currently processes only its own Pro subscription (via Dodo Payments), not payments from your clients.

What works today

Cal Clear's scheduling is free forever: Google Calendar conflict checking, automatic Google Meet links, custom form fields, buffers, per-date hours, privacy controls, and confirmation/reschedule/cancel emails with .ics attachments. The optional $0.99/mo Pro plan is billed through Dodo Payments — that's the only payment flow in the product today.

PayPal on our roadmap

Taking a deposit or full payment from your client at the moment they book — via PayPal — is planned but not built. Until it ships, Cal Clear won't charge your invitees through PayPal.

What you can do today

We won't invent a workaround: Cal Clear can't collect client payments through PayPal today. If you need to be paid at booking right now, you'd handle that outside Cal Clear (for example, sending your own PayPal payment link to the client separately). Native pay-at-booking is on our roadmap.

Why we build slowly and say so honestly

Cal Clear is privacy-first and free forever. We'd rather ship a small number of integrations that genuinely work than list a directory of connections that don't. When PayPal lands, it'll do exactly what this page describes — and until then, we won't pretend otherwise.

When you don't need this integration

If your sessions are free, or you invoice clients separately after the call, you don't need payment integration at all — Cal Clear's free scheduling covers you completely.
