Cal Clear + Apple Calendar / iCloud: Integration Guide (2026)

April 2026 · 6 min read · By

Native two-way sync with Apple Calendar / iCloud isn't part of Cal Clear yet — it's on our roadmap. What works today: Cal Clear checks your availability against Google Calendar, and every booking sends an .ics calendar file that drops straight into Apple Calendar / iCloud. Here's exactly what's live now and what's planned.

Coming soon: Apple Calendar / iCloud does not have a native, two-way connection in Cal Clear yet — it's on our roadmap. Everything below is honest about what works today versus what's still planned.

What works today

Cal Clear connects to Google Calendar for real-time free/busy conflict checking, so you're never double-booked across your Google calendars. Every confirmed booking also sends confirmation, reschedule, and cancellation emails with an .ics (iCalendar) attachment — and that .ics adds the event to any calendar app, including Apple Calendar / iCloud, in one tap. The automatic Google Meet link comes through too.

Apple Calendar / iCloud on our roadmap

A native, two-way Apple Calendar / iCloud connection — reading your Apple Calendar / iCloud busy times for conflict checking and writing events directly into it — is planned but not built. We won't claim it works until it does.

What you can do today

You don't have to wait to get Cal Clear bookings into Apple Calendar / iCloud. Because every booking email carries a standard .ics file, you or your invitee can add any booking to Apple Calendar / iCloud instantly — the event, time, and Google Meet link all come through. For conflict checking, keep your bookable availability on Google Calendar for now; once native Apple Calendar / iCloud sync ships, you'll be able to check against Apple Calendar / iCloud directly.

Why we build slowly and say so honestly

Cal Clear is privacy-first and free forever. We'd rather ship a small number of integrations that genuinely work than list a directory of connections that don't. When Apple Calendar / iCloud lands, it'll do exactly what this page describes — and until then, we won't pretend otherwise.

When you don't need this integration

If you already keep your bookable availability in Google Calendar and just want events to land in Apple Calendar / iCloud, the built-in .ics attachment covers you today — no native integration required.
